A groundskeeper at Ohio University found a dead pirahna floating in a park pond on Friday. They're guessing it was a prank but this is not the first time that the OU employees have found out-of-place animals in the university pond. Two small alligators were found in it a few years ago.

Apparently, growing seal populations in California and New Zealand could be the reason for the increasing number of shark attacks in these areas. The sharks go where the seals are and confuse us with the seals and eat us instead.

4WDs Banned From Shark Fishing

The Australian Government banned the use of four-wheel-drives and surfboards to catch great white sharks after a group of men were caught catching and releasing great whites by using a surfboard to swim bait out to the sharks, and then landing them from a chair mounted on a 4WD vehicle... If you ask me, attracting sharks closer to the shore doesn't sound good for anyone.

Getting caught gets you a $22,000 fine, six months in jail, or both.

Don't Swim Where You Know There Are Sharks!

A man was attacked by a shark while swimming at a beach near Gansbaai, South Africa on Saturday. The shark bit his lower leg and foot.

Now, Gansbaai waters are a popular shark cage diving spot which means they put chum in those waters so those particular waters are known for their sharks! I don't know why anyone would go swimming there in the first place. Luckily, this shark was a small one so the injuries were not fatal.
