I Hereby Declare November . . . National Shark Attack Month!

Ok, let's recap:

• Nov. 27, a 23-year old man was bitten on the hand just south New Smyrna Inlet jetty.
• Nov. 21, a surfer was bitten on the foot just north of Jensen Beach.
• Nov. 20, a 17-year-old was bitten on his right thigh while surfing at New Smyrna Inlet Jetty.
• Nov. 12, an 18-year-old surfer was bitten on the foot at New Smyrna jetty while hanging his feet in the water.

This year's 15 shark attacks in Florida - one fatal - outdoes last year's 12 nonfatal attacks. But worldwide the number is lower: 56 attacks, 4 fatal, compared with last year's 61 attacks, 7 fatal.
